Leveraging expertise in computer science principles and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, this role works collaboratively across cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital solutions. The Software Engineer plays a critical role in translating business needs into robust technical implementations while continuously optimizing and improving the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design & Development Design and develop clean, efficient, and scalable software solutions based on technical specifications and business requirements. Write well-documented, maintainable code in one or more languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or Go. Architect software components and systems that are reusable, testable, and extensible. Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers to turn product concepts into working applications. Participate in agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Translate complex technical concepts into simple terms for non-technical stakeholders. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated test scripts to ensure code quality. Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in software development. Troubleshoot and debug software issues across environments and platforms. Deployment & Maintenance Deploy software applications to staging and production environments using CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Monitor application performance and reliability, proactively addressing issues and bugs. Maintain and improve legacy codebases while ensuring backward compatibility. Security & Compliance Implement security best practices in coding, data handling, and system integrations. Ensure software compliance with internal and external security, privacy, and accessibility standards. Continuous Improvement Stay current with emerging technologies, development tools, and programming trends. Contribute to the refinement of development processes and tools to improve productivity and product quality. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers when needed. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proficiency in at least one core programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or C++). Experience with front-end and/or back-end development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Spring, Django). Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web protocols. Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps). Experience with version control systems such as Git. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration tools. Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching strategies, and data modeling. Contributions to open-source projects or personal software projects. Understanding of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, JUnit, Selenium).
