Position Overview: The Software Engineer maintains and enhances a federal Data System’s functionality, focusing on software maintenance, API integration, and Tier 3 technical support. This role ensures system reliability, supports quality assurance, and provides technical expertise for training and vendor interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in data entry forms, reports, and API connections.
Test patches and upgrades in QA and UAT environments, ensuring system stability.
Provide Tier 3 support for infrastructure, server, and database issues, conducting root cause analysis within 5 days.
Document API endpoints, authentication, and state-specific usage for grantee systems.
Support technical discussions during orientation meetings and vendor interactions with Tyler Technologies.
Develop technical training content for user guides and conference sessions.
Ensure software compliance with federal standards, including FedRAMP and Section 508.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in software development/maintenance, with expertise in Java, Tomcat, and SQL.
Strong skills in API integration, QA testing, and troubleshooting complex IT issues.
Experience in software development for federal data systems
Experience documenting technical processes and supporting user training.
Ability to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
