Software Engineer – Healthcare Applications (Full Stack, Remote CST)

Duration: 12 months, with strong likelihood of extension
Location: 100% Remote (Central Time Zone hours preferred)
Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, standard business hours CST

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
OR Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of additional relevant experience
At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience (internships accepted)
OR 2+ years coding in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C# etc.)
Experience with Agile software development techniques
Hands-on experience with modern application development frameworks
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
Familiarity with full software development lifecycle best practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations)
Excellent communication skills
Experience developing software for healthcare-related industries (required for this role)
Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure)
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong React front-end experience, plus back-end experience with any modern technology stack
Familiarity with open-source technologies, databases, analytics, or business intelligence tools
Experience building high-performance, scalable, and reliable systems
About the Role:

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with healthcare application experience to join our team building a web application that supports cardiovascular patients throughout their surgical journey (pre-op, during surgery, and post-op).

This role is ideal for an engineer who is highly skilled in front-end design and development using React, while also comfortable working on back-end services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain applications running in a cloud environment, contributing to impactful healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with Product Owners, Managers, and Architects to translate requirements into code
Designing and implementing front-end and back-end solutions
Developing services around data warehousing, analytics, and cloud computing
Participating in Agile, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery practices
Supporting deployment automation and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Azure Pipelines, etc.)
Documenting processes and source code
Contributing to troubleshooting and best practices
