The Brand New Air Traffic Control Systems (BNATCS) initiative is transforming national air traffic control through comprehensive infrastructure upgrades at over 4,600 sites. This includes thousands of new radios, hundreds of modern radar systems, enhanced runway safety at 200 airports, and six new control centers - all unified on a single operational platform to improve aviation safety and efficiency nationwide. Providing 24/7 technical assistance, AJW‑17 ensures vital NAS systems operate safely, reliably, and securely by managing trouble tickets, troubleshooting system failures, resolving performance issues, and overseeing lifecycle maintenance activities. AJW-17 integrates cybersecurity standards, configuration control, and enterprise architecture compliance into FAA infrastructure modernization efforts, aligning technology implementation with strategic resilience, security, and mission assurance objectives. Noblis is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineers to join our team. This role is responsible for software engineering and development for the FAA's Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS), a BNATCS System, that supports Air Traffic Controllers in their decision making directing aircraft. E-IDS will be in locations across the nation, supporting 5,000 Air Traffic Control positions. Key Responsibilities: Developing operational software for the E-IDS Interpret and decompose system, service, and network architectures and requirements Design and plan system implementation through the development of detailed implementation plans, ensuring alignment with architecture Provide support for a variety of technologies including Windows Operating Systems, Windows OS, Red Hat Linux and VDI (Virtual Desktop Interface). Apply systems engineering principles to identify and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Ensure systems are patched and compliant with Windows security best practices. Troubleshoot complex issues independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrate proficiency in Internet Protocol (IP), DNS, and general network configuration. Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and knowledge-sharing materials. Clearly communicate complex technical concepts in both written and verbal formats Required Qualifications: Ability to effectively document technical procedures and deliver presentations.
