Software Developer (Mid-level) POSITION SUMMARY Seeking a proactive Backend Developer to design, develop, and support SaaS applications and APIs, analyzing SQL queries for performance and collaborating on solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Design, develop, test, and support mission critical SaaS applications and APIs using sound object oriented analysis and design principles. Proactively seek technical improvements and take the initiative to communicate / implement quality solutions. Analyze existing SQL queries for performance and design improvements Contribute solutions through collaboration with other engineers in the team. Continued advancement and understanding of new developments and trends in area of expertise The employee must adhere to an approved schedule within the company's business hours of 8am to 5pm EST. Flexibility may be necessary to accommodate employees in different time zones. This position is full-time and salaried. Workdays are Monday through Friday. Remote work is allowed. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (preferred but not required), or substantiated non-education equivalent experience Experience: 5+ years preferred working experience and/or knowledge of complex SQL querying. 5+ years preferred working experience and/or knowledge of programming in Java 5+ years preferred working experience working with a variety of JavaScript frontend Frameworks (ExtJS, JQuery, React, etc.) Certificates & Licenses: N/A Preferred but not required: Demonstrated proficiency in (3) or more software development languages (C, C++, Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, and/or PHP) Firm competency working with Linux.
