This role will work closely with business analysts to craft the digital experience for new product features and improve existing features. This includes exploring designs that improve and optimize usability through behavior patterns, interfaces, layouts, components, symbols and aesthetics. Responsibilities include: Create wireframes, user interfaces and design comps Generate design specs for developers to easily implement Solicit feedback from peers to continuously improve designs Help document, evolve, and maintain the design system guidelines Apply and extend design system guidelines to create a cohesive, intuitive, and easy user experience across products Articulate solutions and collaborate to review and refine designs Make sure designed solutions adhere to web usability standards and best practices, including web accessibility and responsive design Support developers and the quality assurance team during implementation to polish features and resolve any design and usability related issues that may arise Stay up to date on user interface and web standards for common platforms and industry trends Advocate for a user-centric, inclusive and accessible design experience Experience & Required Skills Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in User Experience Design or related field At least 3 years of proven experience as a UX / UI designer, with a strong portfolio of work Degree or equivalent relevant experience is required Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, and/or other relevant tools Deep understanding of user-centered and universal design methods and standard processes Produced wireframes, user paths, sitemaps, low and high-fidelity mockups Experienced in interface, web (including responsive), and information design Strict attention to detail and well organized Systematic thinker: able to step back from UI elements and features, and approach solutions with consideration to the improvement and impact of the entire application UX and flow Receptive: accepting of feedback and change; willing to refine designs and quickly adapt to shifting priorities and processes Self-motivated: can thrive independently and as part of a team to accomplish tasks and answer own questions, but is self-aware to know when to ask for help Strong remote communication skills: comfortable collaborating virtually, is an active listener and proactive in communicating to stay motivated, engaged and on task Experience not required but a plus: Working with a remote team Knowledgeable on Section 508 compliance Front-end / CSS development and browser dev tools Using: Microsoft Teams, Atlassian Bitbucket, Confluence and/or Jira Application evaluations, user research and testing and/or incorporating findings Position will require obtaining a security clearance Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 We offer a variety of benefits to our employees, including: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Life insurance Long-term/Short-term disability insurance (LTD/STD) Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Vacation, Sick and Holiday leave Parental leave Antech Systems, Inc.
