Job Title: Senior Technical Application Developer

Company: Arch Systems

Client: DHS ICE SEVP

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time / Consulting

Position Summary:
The Senior Technical Application Developer will play a key role in the configuration, extension, and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Record Store (LRS). This individual will ensure high performance and high availability across the application ecosystem, with a focus on platform scalability, maintainability, and standards compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and extend the hosting platform (LMS) to meet evolving technical and business requirements.
Integrate and enhance interaction data capture within both LMS and LRS platforms.
Optimize application architecture for high performance, reliability, and availability.
Lead software development activities, including:
Application setup and configuration
Conducting code reviews
Implementing and ensuring quality assurance practices
Promote and implement best practices in component re-use and code maintainability.
Participate in ongoing technical platform development and support activities.
Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
– OR –

Eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in software development or a closely related field.
Minimum Required Experience:

At least four (4) years of experience in:
Application setup and deployment
Component re-use and software maintainability
Conducting code reviews and applying QA methodologies
Designing and developing scalable software applications
Technical platform development
Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including configuration, customization, and integration with other enterprise platforms and data capture mechanisms (e.g., LRS).
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a systems developer working with:
Large Oracle databases
Web-based applications supporting 10,000+ concurrent users
Proven experience in:
Creating and/or maintaining an application framework
Designing and implementing external emulators to simulate interfaces, Oracle jobs, and adjudicative decision processes
Developing systems in compliance with Section 508 accessibility guidelines
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
