Job Description:

Sigmatech, Inc. is looking for an experienced software engineer and data analytics SME ready to go to work immediately to lead a multi-disciplinary team in bringing an automated manpower and financial forecasting decision support tool from prototype to final product. You will use your skills and knowledge to support the team to update, improve, and ultimately web-enable the client’s Common Workforce Analysis Tool (CWAT). You will also be responsible for maintaining and running the legacy CWAT tool and will be responsible for supporting data analytics utilizing the CWAT database. Place of work is Arlington, VA in client office space, however, currently maximum telework is authorized using MS Teams. As an IT professional, you will analyze the current automated tool, determine the best solutions for optimal functionality, incorporate user feedback and recommendations, and support web-enablement of the improved product on the client provided host. You will also be responsible for data analytics to support the building of data visualizations, reports and dashboards utilizing the CWAT database. You will ensure the team stays on task and on schedule to meet client expectations.
Experience and Skills:

Candidate must have at least an undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science, or other related field. Must have between five to ten years’ experience with software, programming, and applying IT solutions and cyber security best practices. Must have experiance in Visual Basic, Java, Excel, Access, SQL, and Python. Should have experience with large data sets, building analytic dashboards, and web-based applications. Solid oral and written communications skills, especially around analytical concepts and methods, and ability to work in a team are critical.
