Job description
As part of the Cloud FS Team, the Sr Software Engineer will work within a team to develop new features and functionality, as well as identify and address issues impacting customers directly when support is needed. 

*It is preferred for candidates to be on the west coast but other candidates will still be considered*
Job requirements
Required Skills and Experience 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Functional knowledge of Unix OS (or other derivatives) and filesystems
Understanding of Networking (TCP/DNS)
3+ Years of experience in Software Development
3+ Years of programming experience in one or more:
C
Python
Go
Experience with version control
Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
 

Optional Skills and Experience 

Gitlab CI/CD and Pipelines
Knowledge of DevOps Architecture and Support
FreeBSD
Storage, filesystems (on premise and Cloud), snapshots, HA
Public Cloud, GCP or AWS development 
Job responsibilities
Work as a member of the team on projects involving development of new features, sustenance, handling engineering escalations
Participate in all phases of product development cycle: from product definition and design, through implementation, debugging, testing and early customer support
Work collaboratively with other peer team members and other teams on the product such as QA and Customer Support to improve the product and prioritize enhancements/fixes
Able to work mainly in a US time zone, as well as, asynchronously with staff across time zones like Europe, India, Australia
