About the Role The Platform Engineering Team at Commure + Athelas supports the entire Engineering organization, providing the infrastructure to develop, deploy, and operate software at scale. The team owns cloud infrastructure, developer operations & experience, reliability engineering, data engineering, and security. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining our multi-cloud architecture using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), ensuring the scalability and reliability of our applications, and improving developer operations from local development to CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting. This role will also contribute to setting the technical direction of the company’s platform, influencing how and where services are built and deployed. You’ll help foster a culture of continuous improvement, elevating the reliability and scalability of our architecture while leveling up the entire engineering organization. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar) Improve developer experience, including CI/CD automation, build pipelines, and local development tooling Enhance observability through best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting Collaborate with Security Engineering and the organization to ensure our systems protect customer data and meet compliance standards Participate in setting technical direction of our engineering platform and cloud infrastructure Mentor and guide other engineers, raising the technical bar across the organization Operate in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment, solving complex technical challenges at scale
