Key Responsibilities: Full-Stack Development: Spearhead the design and development of new features across both web and mobile platforms. Utilize modern frameworks, including Laravel for back-end PHP development, to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems. Laravel Application Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure applications using Laravel, with a strong focus on RESTful API development, job queues, service containers, and Laravel best practices. Architecture & Design: Lead the architectural planning and design of scalable, secure, and maintainable product features that meet both short-term and long-term business goals. Code Simplification: Refactor complex codebases (including legacy Laravel components) for better scalability, performance, and overall developer efficiency while maintaining a focus on code quality. Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into high-quality, user-centered solutions within an agile framework. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Actively participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement within the team. Laravel Expertise: Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience with Laravel (v8+ preferred), including familiarity with Eloquent ORM, Blade templating, Laravel queues, API resources, and Laravel Sanctum or Passport for authentication. Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Node.js) and Python. Strong experience working in Laravel-based PHP environments alongside cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. Database Knowledge: Extensive experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB), including experience with Laravel migrations and seeders. API Design: Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with experience in Laravel API Resource classes and middleware. Security Expertise: A strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards and secure development practices, especially around sensitive data handling, encryption, and access controls in Laravel applications. AI/ML Familiarity: Experience working with general AI concepts or tools (e.g., natural language processing, machine learning frameworks, or AI-powered APIs) to support data-driven features or automation. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
