At Brandt, we build and improve upon the customer journey for public users buying campground reservations, fishing and hunting licenses, boat registrations, educational event tickets, and the list goes on. State funds generated go back into conservation and outdoor recreation improvements. Brandt is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience as a .NET Developer and 3 years’ experience with a modern JavaScript framework (such as Angular). The ideal candidate is very comfortable working within the Microsoft stack and possesses advanced knowledge of C#, .Net, JS Frameworks and Git. Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus. Primary Responsibilities Include: Design, develop, and test software to meet requirements and design specifications. Write high quality code that adheres to company coding standards. Comply with established software development standards and procedures. Work effectively individually or within a cross functional team. Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior development staff. Communicate updates to the team during daily stand-ups. Work with the architecture committee to implement new product features. Work with QA and BA resources to help identify, troubleshoot, and correct defects. Support continuous improvement by contributing to pull requests. Evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement to overall system performance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the field of information technology, computer science or a related discipline. 5+ years working with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core. 3+ years working with modern front-end frameworks (i.e. Angular). Strong proficiency with object-oriented languages such as C#. Current working knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Git. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud providers such as Azure. Experience with Entity Framework. Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures and functions. Experience with RESTful API design concepts. Experience with continuous integration tooling. Professional experience within the Fish and Wildlife industry. Position Location: This position is anticipated to be a full-time remote position. The work must be performed within the continental United States. The standard work hours for this position will follow Eastern Standard Time. All equipment required to perform the job responsibilities will be provided by Brandt.
