Job Description Senior Frontend UI Engineer - Vue.js (JOB-4553) Location: REMOTE; Omaha, NE Employment Type: W-2 Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $55-$67/hr (based on experience) Estimated Conversion Salary: $110,000-$130,000 Important Note: Visa sponsorship is not available. Capstone IT is partnering with a leader in the insurance and financial services industry to hire a Senior Frontend UI Engineer specializing in Vue.js

This remote W-2 contract-to-hire role focuses on developing and maintaining reusable, accessible, high-performance UI components for enterprise applications. You will work within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), collaborating with UX designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver user-centric interfaces that adhere to WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards, optimize performance, and ensure seamless experiences across devices and browsers. You will build responsive Vue.js components, write automated tests, integrate with RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), contribute to Agile processes, and create user stories

Candidates must be proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently while meeting deliverables and adhering to security protocols. Top 4 Skills: Vue.js Expertise: Strong proficiency in Vue.js (Vue 3 preferred), including component-based architecture, Pinia state management, and Vue Router. Accessibility (WCAG 2.2): Proven ability to implement accessible interfaces with ARIA, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support

Responsive Design: Expertise in building cross-device, cross-browser UIs using modern CSS (e.g., CSS Grid, Flexbox). Test Automation: Skilled in writing unit, integration, and E2E tests using Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Vitest, or Playwright. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain reusable Vue.js components adhering to corporate UI/UX and accessibility standards

Ensure WCAG 2.2 compliance with semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility. Collaborate with UX designers to translate Figma/Sketch wireframes/mockups into functional, high-quality interfaces. Integrate UI components with RESTful APIs and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Optimize UI performance using code splitting, lazy loading, tree-shaking, and efficient state management. Write automated tests (Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Vitest, Playwright) for 80-90% code coverage (unit, integration, E2E). Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).

Conduct accessibility audits and cross-browser/device testing for consistent functionality. Troubleshoot UI bugs and performance issues, maintaining <5% bug reopen rate and <1% production defects. Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria, independently or collaboratively.

Deliver 85% of committed story points per sprint, following SOLID principles. Adhere to enterprise security policies and coding standards. Provide clear, maintainable documentation and use communication platforms (Microsoft Teams, Jira, email) for collaboration.

Monitor performance metrics and update components with new design patterns or technologies. Qualifications: 4+ years of experience with Vue.js (Vue 3 preferred), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+). Proficiency with Webpack, Vite, Git, and Agile/SAFe methodologies

Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility, usability, and responsive design techniques. Skilled in automated testing (Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, Vitest, Playwright) and clean code practices (SOLID)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork. Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and write effective user stories. Strong problem-solving skills to address UI development challenges.
