What sets us apart is our suite of solutions, advanced analytics, and dedicated service, all aimed at delivering lower energy costs.Why Energy CX? Entrepreneurial and ambitious culture with a great team oriented environmentFastest growing energy broker in the countryRecognized by Fortune and Great Places to work USNamed on Inc 5000’s list of America’s fastest growing companiesCompensation$140,000+ annually, with potential for up to 20% bonus based on performanceTitle: Senior Data EngineerAbout this JobAs a Senior Data Engineer, you'll architect and maintain robust data systems that power our organization's decision-making. You'll design scalable pipelines, implement data quality frameworks, and create the technical foundation our teams rely on to analyze complex energy market trends and business metrics. Your work ensures our data infrastructure can handle growing demands while delivering consistent, accurate insights to customers and stakeholders across the organization.Daily and Monthly ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to efficiently process data from multiple sources for internal and customer-facing applicationsImplement comprehensive data quality controls, governance standards, and privacy frameworks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance across all business processes while maintaining multi-environment architecture and DevOps best practicesBuild and maintain robust MLOps infrastructure that supports model development, deployment, and monitoring while enabling seamless data science collaborationCollaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into technical data solutions while mentoring team members on data engineering best practicesContinuously monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, query efficiency, and cloud resource utilization to maintain cost-effective, high-performing systemsSkills & Qualifications7+ years of data engineering experience working in fast-paced environments with a track record of high-impact individual contributionsAdvanced knowledge of data architecture principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, governance standards, quality controls, and privacy frameworksExtensive experience with cloud services, including multi-environment architecture, containerization, IaaS, and observability systemsProven expertise in SQL & NoSQL databases, Python, and modern data stack technologies, with proficiency in PostgreSQL, Airflow, Airbyte, dbt, and Spark preferred ECX BenefitsPTO15 days but highly flexibleAll major holidays
Half day on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving
