Senior Application Software Developer - Energy Trading/ETRM
FULLY REMOTE
Summary:
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, testing, verifying, and documenting technical solutions to project requirements for new and existing Energy Trading software products. The role requires adherence to software development practices, ensuring delivery within project schedules and maintaining high-quality standards. This is a 100% remote position, Texas based developers are preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Software Development: Develop, maintain, and enhance new and existing software applications.
Programming Expertise: Demonstrate advanced skills in MS SQL Server (TSQL), including stored procedures, indexing, triggers, and cursors.
Engineering Principles: Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges.
Collaboration: Work effectively with stakeholders such as Product Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and Customers to meet project goals.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
Customer Interaction: Engage directly with customers as needed to meet project requirements.
Mentorship: Mentor and coach other software developers within the team.
Qualifications:
Required Technical Skills:
Proficiency in TSQL, C# .NET, WPF, and XAML.
Strong understanding of the MVVM paradigm.
Experience with relational databases and SQL.
In-depth knowledge of software development principles and lifecycle activities.
Energy Trading Experience: Proven experience in software development within the energy trading industry is mandatory.
Other Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with PL/SQL, DevOps scripting, SOAP/REST Web Services, SignalR/gRPC, FIX protocol, and Telerik controls.
Leadership and Soft Skills: Strong customer focus, excellent time management, problem-solving abilities, clear and professional communication, team collaboration, self-motivation, and creativity.
Experience:
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on applications using TSQL and tools targeting a Microsoft environment. Prior experience in energy trading software development is required.
Work Environment:
This is a 100% remote position - Houston, TX-based preferred.
