About the Role:

We are a fast-moving startup seeking a highly skilled Senior Software / AI Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable software systems with integrated artificial intelligence components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect intelligent solutions using large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and modern backend and frontend frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement production-grade AI pipelines, including LLM integration and vector-based retrieval (e.g., RAG systems).
Develop scalable APIs using Python-based frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
Lead development efforts in building front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
Optimize and manage speech-to-text tools (e.g., Whisper, Deepgram) and integrate them into the core software stack.
Collaborate with product and design teams to ship intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
Ensure compliance with all relevant data protection laws in handling customer data and model outputs.
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to internal engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
Proven experience deploying AI/ML models or building LLM-powered tools.
Proficiency with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern development tools.
Experience working with APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and embedding models.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with speech-to-text (STT) models or audio transcription services.
Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems or semantic search frameworks.
Experience in privacy-first environments, handling sensitive data securely.
Knowledge of data compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
