Pay $70 an hour Job type Contract   Full job description Job Summary We are seeking a Network Software Engineer on a 1-year contract to assist customer engineering teams in developing network design best practices across multi-domains: data center, campus/wifi, wide area networks, and service providers. You will develop software to generate network configurations, documentation, and tests supporting the various design types. Work remotely from anywhere in USA and Canada. What You’ll Do This role demands strong and broad software engineering fundamentals, and ideally a good understanding of networking including capabilities like L2, L3, and fundamentals of commercial switching HW, proficiency in Python and Ansible. Responsibilities: Work on strategic initiatives for Arista AVD and CloudVision CI. Develop and maintain test infrastructure (CI/CD tooling). Actively participate in the AVD community (internal and external) by reviewing GitHub issues and pull requests; Provide Q&A support on various channels such as Google Chat, Slack, etc; Participate in conversations with various teams to brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve the solutions; Enable customer engineering teams to contribute to AVD projects; Update and maintain project documentation; Help maintain solutions engineering lab and test infrastructure. Additional job duties based on interest: Create sales demos, proof of concepts, and product guides; Assist with developing and delivering Arista CI Workshops; Submit papers/talks for conferences (AutoCon/RedHat Summit/Nanog, etc), Participate in sales webinars to present and demonstrate the solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related 5+ years of experience in network automation, Infrastructure as code/NetDevOps. Experience developing in Python. Experience with using source control: Git, GitHub, GitLab. Experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible. Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. 5+ years’ working experience with network technologies, including network design and deployments of Campus, Data Center, and WAN networks. Knowledge of leaf-spine architectures is highly desired. Past experience with Arista EOS, Cisco IOS or JUN OS would be preferred. Applied understanding of software engineering principles. Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment Job Type: Contract Pay: $70.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
