WHAT YOU'LL DO: The Lead Software Engineer, Merch Systems will be responsible for the design, development & support for Torrid’s multi-language retail systems, especially Oracle retail PLM and Planning products. S/he will be responsible for requirement analysis, technical analysis, technical design, development and delivery of code using industry standards methodology. The Lead Software Engineer, Merch Systems will create system requirements documentation using specifications and input from business analysts, conduct unit testing, provide QA support, and Level 2 support as needed. This individual will create the implementation plan as per the project level quality plan and will work on go-live activities. Demonstrate hands-on experience in design and development of Oracle Retail Modules - RMS (Merchandising System), RPM (Pricing Management), ReSA (Sales Audit), REIM (Invoice Matching), Planning and PLM systems. Demonstrate Strong development experience in PL/SQL, T-SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle Forms, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (Microsoft Reporting Services). S/he will perform code and design review, coordinate and supervise the development of software systems to solve information processing problems. The Lead Software Engineer, Merch Systems will analyze system specifications and translate system requirements to task or specifications for junior programmers. Evaluate potential software solutions and the system architecture to ensure they meet business requirements, complete technical documentation to ensure system is fully documented. The candidate should have good skills in software development lifecycle, interfaces with internal and external applications, and database knowledge. Provide custom development services and troubleshoot integration issues. Document necessary Retail architecture design and analysis work; review and integrate application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, and quality. Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in Oracle Retail/ ETL batches. Provide support and fix issues with new and existing Oracle Retail/ ETL solutions. Responsible for Level 3 on-call rotational support to resolve high-severity problems escalated by Level1/Level2 nightly batch support teams. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 6+ years of IT experience in roles such as Programmer Analyst or equivalent, with hands-on expertise in Oracle Retail products including RMS, RPM, ReSA, REIM, Allocation, and PLM systems. 6+ years of development experience with PL/SQL, T-SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages), Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle Forms, SSIS, and SSRS.
