Role: full-stack web developer
Location: Riverside, CA (100% remote)/Must live in CA
Type: 6 Month Contract +

7+ years of USA professional software development experience with Java
API Development: Demonstrable experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
LinkedIn with a Picture is preferred as always
Cloud Platforms: Practical experience managing and deploying services on at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure). This includes familiarity with core compute, database, and networking services within that platform.
Modern Java frameworks:
Micronaut
Quarkus
Spring Boot (with a focus on microservices architectures)

Job Summary
Requirements: We require a seasoned, skilled full-stack web developer who can join the team quickly and begin coding immediately.

Required Qualifications:
Experience: 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
Java Frameworks: Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with at least one of the following modern Java frameworks:
Micronaut
Quarkus
Spring Boot (with a focus on microservices architectures)
API Development: Demonstrable experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with SOAP web services is a plus.
Solid understanding of various API authentication schemes (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, API Keys).
Cloud Platforms: Practical experience managing and deploying services on at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure). This includes familiarity with core compute, database, and networking services within that platform.
Containerization: Proficient with Docker for containerizing applications.
Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.

Database Knowledge: Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Version Control: Expert-level proficiency with Git.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Familiarity with messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Spock).
Knowledge of observability tools and practices (e.g., logging, metrics, tracing).
