About ThinkIQ ThinkIQ has developed a large, distributed platform for real–time data analytics that is transforming industrial supply chains. Our fundamental technologies include a time series data store based on PostgreSQL with a lot of deep domain behavior encoded in the database, hence a strong PL/pgSQL component. We have broad connectivity to several data sources primarily written in cross–platform .NET code with a lot of real–time characteristics. Data is abstracted through a sophisticated middle tier object model written primarily in Python and PHP, which is presented through intuitive tooling created primarily in JavaScript and Vue. Our web–based platform is presented through a PHP–based content management system. Job description ThinkIQ is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our team. While we understand that a candidate may not have deep expertise in all areas of our technology stack, we are looking for someone with the desire and intent to traverse a system with this many layers comfortably, and to be able to focus on full product functionality with the assistance of specialists in those areas. This position requires someone who can articulate complex ideas and work collaboratively as well as independently. Our developers work on a variety of initiatives throughout the year exposing them to different technologies. You will be working in small teams, with ownership over projects, to deliver high quality results for our clients. For this position we are looking for experienced developers who, while primarily coding, can eventually lead software teams and mentor younger developers. Skills & Requirements Responsibilities Enhancing the data–ingestion pipeline. This includes developing new connectors Assisting with database code management and maintenance Collaborating with other team members including designers and backend engineers Required skills Deep experience with the .Net Core framework and languages: C# is a required skill. Cross–platform experience is a bonus. Competent and comfortable with Python. Experience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL in particular, an understanding of Postgres as a relational store and Object store. Knowledge of inter–machine Internet of Things (IoT) communication protocols a strong plus. Familiarity of MQTT or OPC/UA or AMQP is desirable. This is a senior position; 7 years minimum experience required.
