Position OverviewCloneforce.com is looking for an experienced and creative Frontend Tech Lead to own the design and delivery of highly-polished user interfaces that bring our AI agent platform to life. As our frontend lead, you will be hands-on in building user experiences using TypeScript, React, and Next.js, while also guiding architecture decisions, enforcing UI consistency, and mentoring other engineers. You’ll work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver fluid, performant experiences across chat interfaces, dashboards, custom tool builders, and more. What You’ll Do Frontend Architecture: Lead the technical design and implementation of scalable, maintainable frontend systems using modern frameworks and patterns. Design System Ownership: Define and evolve a reusable component library and design system (Tailwind, Storybook, etc.) that supports a cohesive user experience across the platform. Feature Delivery: Take ownership of complex UI features end-to-end, from idea to shipped experience, across our chat interface, dashboards, and tool creation flows. Performance & Accessibility: Ensure the frontend is fast, responsive, and inclusive, using tools like Lighthouse, Web Vitals, and ARIA best practices. Code Quality & Mentorship: Drive frontend engineering standards, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and support the growth of mid-level and junior engineers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with backend, AI solutions, and design teams to prototype and ship innovative LLM-powered user experiences. Continuous Improvement: Identify and address tech debt, UI inconsistencies, and opportunities to boost performance, DX, or user satisfaction. What You’ll Bring 7+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or staff-level role. Expert-level knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and the Next.js framework. Proven experience leading complex frontend projects and mentoring engineering teams. Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization, browser behavior, and responsive design. Experience integrating with GraphQL APIs (Apollo Client preferred). Strong testing discipline (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress). Comfortable setting and evolving UI development conventions, CI pipelines, and component architecture. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience working across product and design functions. Nice to Have Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), SSG, and edge rendering in Next.js. Familiarity with real-time UI patterns (e.g., WebSockets, optimistic updates). Background in accessibility (WCAG/ARIA compliance) and internationalization. Exposure to AI/LLM tools, prompt builders, or interactive no-code/low-code interfaces.
