We are seeking a skilled Front-end Engineer with full-stack capabilities to join our lean, high-impact team. We operate in a HIPAA-compliant environment, ensuring our technology supports the highest standards of healthcare data privacy and security. Job Description: As a Front-end Engineer (with full-stack experience), you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our applications with a strong focus on user-facing features. While the emphasis will be on front-end development, your ability to contribute to back-end and database layers will help ensure we don’t over-index on UI while maintaining a balanced, scalable stack. You will collaborate closely with product, dev-ops, and clinical partners to deliver high-quality software with measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Front-end Development Design, develop, and maintain intuitive, scalable, and responsive web applications using modern frameworks (Angular, React, Next.js, or similar). Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with strong attention to accessibility and performance. Collaborate with back-end engineers to integrate APIs and data services seamlessly into the front-end. Apply and infer type-safety (TypeScript preferred) in data modeling and UI components. - Full-stack Contributions Contribute to back-end services (Node.js/Express) when needed. Support database interactions, queries, and optimizations in PostgreSQL. Troubleshoot across the stack to ensure stability and performance. - System & Team Responsibilities Work effectively with product managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with Intellivisit’s goals. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Collaborate with dev-ops/system administrators to support a zero-downtime enterprise environment. Champion security, scalability, and maintainability best practices, with an emphasis on compliance requirements such as HIPAA when handling healthcare data. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Front-end Engineer with production-level projects. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar). Solid understanding of Node.js and back-end APIs. Experience with PostgreSQL (query writing, schema design, optimization). Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern CI/CD workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues across the stack. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with healthcare software and interoperability (e.g., EPIC, EMR/EHR systems). Knowledge of UNIX/Linux system administration. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Experience with platform-as-a-service environments (e.g., Heroku, Aptible). Familiarity with coding copilots (e.g., GitHub Copilot); not a requirement, but a plus. Experience working in a HIPAA-compliant environment and understanding of healthcare data privacy and security considerations. Why Join Us Intellivisit provides flexible work hours, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to directly impact how healthcare is delivered. We support fully remote work within the United States, giving you the freedom to contribute from where you work best. We build software that matters — technology that improves patient experiences and supports clinicians in delivering best-practice care.
