This role is responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that power the platform's core functions, ensuring compliance with government standards and seamless integration with other systems and services. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain server-side components, APIs, and integrations supporting the AEM platform. • Collaborate with AEM architects, frontend developers, and DevSecOps engineers to implement backend functionality aligned with business and security requirements. • Implement custom workflows, services, and system integrations using Java and OSGi frameworks within the AEM ecosystem. • Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards (STIGs, RMF, etc.). • Support database interactions, RESTful services, and middleware connections with external systems. • Participate in Agile development cycles, code reviews, and backlog grooming activities. • Troubleshoot and resolve backend performance, scalability, and security issues. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of backend development experience, including 2+ years with Adobe AEM or similar enterprise CMS • Proficiency in Java, Apache Sling, OSGi, and RESTful API development • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards, secure coding, and DevSecOps principles • Strong understanding of system integration, data modeling, and authentication protocols • Experience in Agile environments and collaborative development teams • Knowledge of AWS GovCloud, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
