Yes No Skip   Benefits Pulled from the full job description Health insurance   Full job description As an Application Development Engineer for Mexico and LATAM, you’ll provide hands-on technical support to customers, helping them optimize processes and implement polymer solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead plant trials, and support new product launches—playing a key role in driving innovation and business growth across the region. What You'll Be Doing: Provide technical support to customers and the Sales Team to drive new business opportunities. Troubleshoot and optimize customer processes and product performance. Recommend design and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Conduct plant trials, technical meetings, and certification support across Mexico and LATAM. Collaborate with the U.S. Application Development team on regional projects. Deliver technical presentations and training on extrusion, curing, and certification standards. Represent SACO AEI Polymers at industry conferences, expos, and academic initiatives. Support the ramp-up of our new compounding plant in Mexico. Work with Commercial and R&D teams to identify market needs and develop innovative solutions. What You Need to Succeed: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in application development with plastic materials and compounds. Strong knowledge of polymer extrusion processes and equipment. Experience in the wire-and-cable industry is highly preferred. Familiarity with flame-retardant chemistries and polymeric materials is a plus. Ability to interpret industry standards (UL, ANCE, IEC, ABNT). Willingness to travel regionally up to 25–50%. Proficient in English (Spanish is a strong plus). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Confident presenter with a professional demeanor.
