This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-scaling environment while enhancing your technical and professional growth. As a key member of the DevOps team, you will collaborate with software engineers to deploy, manage, and optimize infrastructure and application environments. You will automate workflows, streamline processes, and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure provisioning on AWS. Responsibilities include building out the full tech stack—from ELBs to databases—and supporting continuous delivery using “Blue/Green” deployment strategies. What We're Looking For: Proven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure. Strong background in DevOps automation and orchestration tools. Hands-on expertise in deployment pipelines, monitoring systems, and provisioning infrastructure. Ability to manage and scale production environments in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Self-motivated, analytical, and able to thrive both independently and within high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement Ansible automation to streamline system provisioning, scaling, and code testing. Deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern tools and best practices. Manage release cycles with a deep understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Perform routine systems administration tasks including user management, provisioning, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring. Leverage a variety of open-source tools and cloud services, with a strong emphasis on AWS technologies. Administer Linux-based systems, preferably Amazon Linux 2 and Ubuntu. Respond to critical outages and coordinate resolutions across distributed engineering teams. Collaborate with developers to optimize deployment and release strategies. Support and maintain high-volume, high-traffic web applications and infrastructure. Participate in an on-call rotation and be flexible with work hours as operational needs require. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 3-5 years of relevant DevOps or systems engineering experience. Proficient in Linux/UNIX administration including SSH, cron, and access control. Experience with managed hosting environments and collocated data centers. Expertise in AWS infrastructure: VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Security Groups, and API integration. Familiar with alerting platforms such as PagerDuty or OpsGenie. Strong scripting skills in Bash, Ruby, Python, and PHP. Solid grasp of networking fundamentals including DNS, SSL, firewalls, load balancing, and CDN services. Deep knowledge of Ansible for configuration management and YAML-based playbooks. Experience with CI/CD tools for automated build and deployment processes. Proficient with cloud infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Advanced database skills, including SQL and MySQL; NoSQL experience (e.g., Couchbase, Redis) is a plus. Familiarity with scalable web infrastructure using Apache, NGINX, PHP, and PHP-FPM. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, AlertSite, New Relic, Sumo Logic, and AWS CloudWatch. Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving infrastructure and application issues. Reliable team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal. Passionate about learning new tools, technologies, and practices in a fast-evolving environment. Publishers Clearing House is operating under new ownership!
