The ideal candidate is both a fast-moving software builder and an imaginative architect — someone who doesn’t just know how to call an LLM API and construct MCP assets , but who thinks in systems and compositions, stacking primitives and tools into applications that astonish users and scale with elegance. This role is perfect for engineers who love creating with new AI “Lego blocks” — combining prompting, evals, agents, and more into complex, high-performing systems — and who embrace AI assistance as a core part of their workflow to accelerate development and innovation. What You’ll Do Rapidly prototype and build end-to-end GenAI applications using a wide range of modern AI frameworks and tools Leverage AI assistance (e.g., copilots, auto-complete, code agents) to significantly compress engineering timelines Design and compose AI agents, RAG pipelines, evaluation tools, and guardrails Collaborate with designers and product leads to bring intuitive, intelligent user experiences to life Optimize performance across LLM integrations, data pipelines, and backend orchestration Experiment with fine-tuning, embedding strategies, and vector/graph databases to push boundaries of system intelligence Stay up to date with the latest in reasoning models, multimodal stacks, and open-source tooling Required Qualifications Professional Experience 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years focused on AI/ML or GenAI application development Proven track record of rapidly prototyping and deploying AI-powered applications in production environments Technical Expertise Deep understanding of Generative AI foundations, including: Prompt engineering and chaining techniques Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen) Vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) Embeddings and fine-tuning approaches Evaluation tools and implementation of safety/guardrails Proficiency in backend development and orchestration with modern stacks (e.g., Python, Node.js, FastAPI, async workflows) Experience with API design, version control (Git), testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines Systems Thinking & Architecture Strong ability to design modular, scalable GenAI systems using composable building blocks Familiarity with graph databases, reasoning layers, and LLM-based inference strategies AI-Augmented Development Comfort using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code agents) to accelerate coding and design workflows Collaboration & Product Focus: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product managers and designers to build intuitive user experiences Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous, and experimental environments Communication Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical decisions and collaborate effectively with distributed teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with open-source LLMs such as LLaMA, Mistral, or Mixtral, including model customization or fine-tuning Familiarity with LLMOps tools and scalable AI deployment architectures, including containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring Contributions to open-source GenAI libraries, tools, or research, or active participation in the AI/ML community Prior work involving synthetic data generation, model evaluation frameworks, or benchmarking GenAI systems Knowledge of multimodal interfaces, including voice, vision, or agentic browsing and tool integration Exposure to knowledge graphs and structured reasoning techniques integrated with LLMs Strong UX instincts or product-oriented mindset — ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and user value Experience building AI solutions in enterprise or regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, government) Why Join Us Be part of a high-impact team at the forefront of applied AI Work with cutting-edge tools and systems — and help shape the future of them Collaborate with sharp minds in a creative, supportive environment Build systems that solve real problems for real users Job Type: Contract Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: Professional development assistance Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Application Question(s): We will run candidate vetting background checks and retain your profile on Ariana.Digital digital properties outside of this job portal.
