Yes No Skip   Benefits Pulled from the full job description Health insurance Paid time off   Full job description Job Title: Sr. Splunk Engineer Duration: 6+ Months Location: 100% Remote About the Role We are seeking a Security Data Integration Engineer to join a high-impact project aimed at enhancing security observability across a large-scale enterprise environment. This role focuses on building scalable, reliable data pipelines and integrations that route, transform, and monitor security log data into a centralized Security Data Lake-primarily using Splunk Cloud. You//'ll work closely with platform engineers, security analysts, and observability specialists to enable seamless data access, improve visibility, and ensure high data quality and system reliability. Key Responsibilities Design and implement data pipelines to ingest and transform security telemetry. Develop integrations that provide enriched access to security data from the centralized data lake. Route and classify new log sources into the appropriate indexes and destinations. Build and maintain monitoring solutions to detect anomalies such as: Changes in data volume Instability in data transmission Offline or failing data sources Collaborate with security analysts to close visibility gaps through new ingestion solutions. Document best practices, tools, and observability frameworks. Required Skills & Experience 3–5 years of experience in data integration, observability, or security engineering roles. Proficiency in developing data ingestion pipelines using Python or JavaScript. Strong hands-on experience with Cribl Stream or Splunk for data routing and transformation. Knowledge of structured and semi-structured data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, KVP) and format conversion. Understanding of telemetry principles and observability design patterns. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Splunk Edge Processor for edge data filtering and routing. Familiarity with AWS services, including: Lambda CloudTrail CloudWatch Kinesis Firehose Experience working in Splunk Cloud and using SPL2. Exposure to OpenTelemetry and native integrations for Splunk or Cribl.
