Data Recognition Corporation Company cannot provide sponsorship of any kind for this position This is an employee role, not contract or consult Please, no agencies or third parties Job Title: Sr. Software Developer - Python / DevOps DRC is seeking a data-savvy Sr. Software Developer - Python / DevOps Engineer with demonstrated ability to contribute to the advancement of DRC's initiatives. This Engineer will lead DevOps efforts on a growing technology team and help build scalable, serverless, cloud-based systems that power education learning analytics. A successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud-native architecture, ETL development, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS), serverless computing, and CI/CD automation. Essential Position Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS, with a strong emphasis on serverless computing (such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3). Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines that support the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of educational assessment data in various formats. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and automated testing (prefer Jenkins). Collaborate with data scientists, psychometricians, and software engineers to support ML workflows and ensure scalable infrastructure for research and analytics. Implement best practices for infrastructure security, monitoring, logging, and reliability. Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and frameworks to improve system performance and developer productivity. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Software Development. Advanced experience with Amazon Web Services (such as Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, ECS). Proven expertise in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data workflows. Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Python, Bash, Groovy, or Node.js. Experience with CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and infrastructure as code (such as CloudFormation, Terraform and Serverless). Experience with monitoring and observability tools (such as CloudWatch). Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to MLOps Architecture Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
