Purpose of Position The Report Developer (Developer III) is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing reporting solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and end-user requirements. The position will focus on development, maintenance and support of PeopleSoft applications and sub-systems created and used by the Accounting Resource Center (ARC). The position provides production support, technical and process documentation, and follows established development and change control standards. Works with ARC functional staff to develop technical requirements and business processes to ensure compatibility with the proposed technical solution. The Report Developer creates and manages reporting infrastructure, as well as produces dashboards and visualizations such as density maps, tables, and graphs to meet a variety of reporting objectives. Essential Functions Works collaboratively within the Accounting Resource Center (ARC) to build and maintain custom PeopleSoft reporting interfaces to support data retrieval and end user presentation. Translate business requirements into specifications and use the information to design, develop, test, and implement reporting and analytic solutions using PeopleSoft tool sets as well as other standard industry tools. Responsible for supporting ARC across the full range of modules within the PeopleSoft products and will closely collaborate with UT Shared Information Services (SIS) to provide production support, technical and process documentation, and follow established development and change control standards. Participate in the process improvement efforts to support the ARC objective of maximizing end users ability to review and understand data by minimizing the time required to gather and organize data. Develop and manage reporting standards based on best practices while conforming to existing internal security guidelines. Ensure all development is sustainably constructed, readily replicable, and easily configurable. Implement guidelines and processes related to the functionality and administration of the developer toolset. Contribute to end-user training and materials. Conduct training sessions as necessary. Document and maintain requirements, designs and data/metadata definitions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience with Component Interface, Application Designer, Application Packages, and experience with using XML Publisher. Experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and support. Advance knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and MS Office Applications. Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, OBIA, and Hyperion. Experience writing technical documentation and procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree, 6 years of experience with common programing languages, 5 years experience working with large ERP's, advanced knowledge of data extraction and dashboard development. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree. 7+ years of experience with common programming languages Advanced PeopleSoft and reporting experience. Development experience with PeopleSoft Tools, data visualization tools, data management tools and SQL tools or similar programming language or skill. Working Conditions Uses standard office equipment Requires occasional evening or weekend hours This position offers 100% remote work for individuals located in Texas Additional Information The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to a minimum of 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
