The Role: We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Mid–Senior level) to help build and evolve the core software systems that power the Linus Health platform. You’ll work across modern web frontends, backend services, and emerging AI-enabled workflows, helping deliver high-quality features used by clinicians, researchers, and health systems. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across the stack, embrace modern development tools—including AI code assistants—and want to help build the next generation of AI-enabled healthcare software. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Clinical teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions. What You’ll Do: Build and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript. Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js (TypeScript), Java, and Python. Design and implement RESTful APIs and distributed systems supporting the Linus platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product features from concept to production. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality and security. Prototype LLM-enabled features and basic agent workflows, integrating automation or intelligent components into product capabilities. Contribute to engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines. Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability. About You: Must Haves: 4–8+ years of software engineering experience building production applications. Strong experience with React and modern frontend development, ideally using TypeScript. Experience building backend APIs or services with Node.js, Java, or Python. Strong understanding of web architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems. Experience using AI code assistants or modern developer productivity tools. Familiarity with LLM-based systems or simple agentic workflows. A quality-focused mindset with strong practices in testing, debugging, and maintainable code. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Nice to Have Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI-enabled product features. Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Experience with microservices architectures or backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns. Experience developing mobile applications using React Native, Swift, or other modern mobile frameworks. Experience in digital health or regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.). Exposure to data pipelines, analytics systems, or machine learning platforms.
