Mainspring Services is growing and we are looking for a highly collaborative Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position is, at the core, a technologist with a broad skill set that brings a range of experience in web software development, and has the hustle mentality and positive attitude to join our small but extremely driven team.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be a key member of a small team and will design, implement, and deploy ongoing enhancements and expansion of our company’s core software products. You will be stepping into a senior role working directly with the CTO, Development Manager, and members of the Product team. We are at a growth point as a company and you will play an integral role in the development and growth of product(s) which will be our team's foundation for the foreseeable future.

Our applications are built primarily on the modern Microsoft stack, so we are looking for experience with .NET (8/9/10), SQL Server, and a variety of Azure Services.

Ideally you will bring demonstrable hands-on experience with the following:

Writing C# web applications across the full development stack
Architecting and optimizing SQL databases
Database development using Microsoft SQL Server.
Azure Based Infrastructure - Specifically: Azure Function Apps, Azure App Services, Azure Service Bus, Azure AD B2C / Azure Entra, Azure Application Insights, Azure Storage, Azure Cognitive Search, and more
Experience with WebAPI and SignalR
Proficiency with JavaScript/jQuery
Comfortable with Git for source control
Front-end UI/UX experience is a plus
Familiarity with NPM/GULP/Compiled SCSS & JS
Proficiency at creation and modification of complex regular expressions (RegEx) is a large plus
Working with document (PDF and Doc(x) ) interaction for data extraction and updates is a bonus.
We place a higher value on mindset and attitude than on lengthy experience in our exact stack. That said, we do expect candidates to have 4-7 years of experience with modern Microsoft technologies. The ability to work independently to solve problems, learn our platform and industry so you can provide recommendations, and learn new skills is also important. The position is full-time remote and will continue to be so, so a proven record of experience working remotely will be beneficial.
