About the Role We are seeking a self-motivated and skilled Delivery Engineer who excels at the intersection of software delivery, containerization, and continuous deployment. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping how we package, deploy, and operate secure applications within hardened Kubernetes environments across AWS and AWS GovCloud. This position emphasizes delivery engineering over infrastructure provisioning. Ideal candidates will have experience taking raw application code, containerizing it effectively, developing robust Helm charts, and deploying seamlessly into secure Amazon EKS clusters via GitHub Actions. You will work in close collaboration with application developers, platform engineers, and security stakeholders to design and maintain delivery pipelines that are clean, repeatable, auditable, and reliable—capable of operating within complex, compliance-driven environments. Core Responsibilities Build and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for app builds, testing, image signing, and secure promotion Write, refactor, and version-control Helm charts for secure deployment to Kubernetes (EKS) Containerize workloads using Docker, with secure defaults and clear image provenance Manage ArgoCD-based GitOps deployment pipelines (or help us get there) Configure and operate Tetrate Istio for secure in-transit communication (FIPS-compliant) Integrate with artifact registries like JFrog Artifactory, GitHub Container Registry, or ECR Collaborate with app teams to translate business logic into scalable, maintainable infrastructure Minimum Qualifications 2–5 years experience in DevOps, platform, or SRE roles Strong working knowledge of Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes (especially EKS) Proven experience with GitHub Actions (matrix builds, OIDC auth, reusable workflows, etc.) Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for scripting and automation Experience with deploying and maintaining containerized workloads on AWS Strong familiarity with Git-based workflows (PR-driven development, trunk-based delivery) An Ideal Candidate Has Hands-on experience with ArgoCD, GitOps workflows, and Kustomize Experience configuring Tetrate Istio or other service meshes with mTLS and FIPS mode Familiarity with LaunchDarkly or other feature flag tools Experience integrating with artifact management systems (Artifactory, Nexus, GHCR) Knowledge of CI/CD security practices: image signing (e.g., Sigstore Cosign), provenance, and policy-as-code Experience deploying into AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP or DoD IL4/5 environments Certifications: CISA, SEC+, CISSP, or CISM Skills Self-starter who owns their work and runs with minimal supervision Adaptable in ambiguous environments; can make wise decisions with imperfect info Collaborative—loves pairing with devs and platform engineers to build the right thing Growth-minded—embraces best practices, learns from mistakes, and shares knowledge freely Pragmatic—cares about clean code and elegant delivery but doesn’t chase perfection over shipping Core Stack Containerization: Docker Kubernetes: EKS, Helm, Kyverno, Tetrate Istio CI/CD: GitHub Actions (core), Jenkins (legacy) Git: GitHub Enterprise Server Languages: Python, Go, Bash Observability: DataDog Artifact Repos: Artifactory, GHCR, ECR Compensation & Benefits Generous Salary + Bonuses Company Paid Health Insurance Company Paid Dental Insurance Company Paid Vision Insurance Company Paid Life Insurance 401k With Company Match Paid Time Off Annual Company Retreat Location Remote, U.S. Based
