Advent Resources is a software company located in the heart of downtown San Pedro, CA. It is just a short walk from the gorgeous waterfront arts district. With over 39 years in the industry, we offer a sales, inventory and customer management platform used by some of the largest car dealerships in the country.

ABOUT THE ROLE

A person in this role has a full understanding of their area of specialization and resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. They are able to successfully collaborate in teams. They demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. They normally receive little instruction on day-to-day work but may require general instruction on new assignments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Be responsible for projects from design to deployment.
Responsible for designing and executing technical solutions to complex business problems.
Be the technical expert for the team to accomplish technical objectives.
Conducts code & design reviews with team members.
Reviews, understands, and recommends updates to our coding and technical design standards and practices.
Collaborates with architects in recommending emerging technologies and application solutions.
Works on enhancement requests from internal and external product owners.
Develop a strong team by collaborating and mentoring team members.
WHAT YOU’ll NEED:

Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organization skills to keep multiple initiatives on track.
3-6 years of experience in PHP
Strong knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.
Separation of concerns
Exposure to Zend Framework
Exposure to PHP Unit
Exposure to SOAP web services
Experience in SQL database design. PostgreSQL experience is a plus.
Ability to work both within a team and independently as required.
Must be eligible for work in the US.
Experience in client-side technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax. ExtJS/Sencha experience is a plus.
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree
