Position Summary: This full-time software engineer W2 position will be responsible for the maintenance of the electronic health record platform, capable of managing, maintaining, and enhancing our service offerings to the recovery community and service providers. The software engineer will design, develop and maintain a scalable platform. This position requires the ability to work with a small cross functional team and internal stakeholders. Must be willing and capable of being a solo engineer with a growth mindset and a willingness to create a best-in-class engineering team over time. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Responsibilities: Experience & Tooling – 5+ years’ experience with: Building mobile-responsive web applications using React and TypeScript Designing and implementing backend services with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript, primarily using REST APIs Working with PostgreSQL or another relational database, with fluency in schema design and performance tuning Developing and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure using Terraform on AWS, including  ECS, RDS, S3, and Cognito Implementing secure, scalable authentication and RBAC systems, leveraging AWS Cognito and best practices in access control Building and deploying in a modern CI/CD environment (e.g., GitHub Actions) with automated tests, containers, and hands off deployments Writing end-to-end (Playwright), integration, and unit tests (Jest) to ensure reliability and regression coverage Managing observability and performance using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana Using Git confidently in collaborative, trunk-based development workflows Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following.  Technical Strategy & Leadership: Defines and champions the technical direction of the team.
