Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Independently analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex PowerOn programs supporting Symitar Episys core operations Review, refactor, and modernize existing PowerOn code, improving performance, readability, maintainability, and reliability Design and build new PowerOn solutions based on business and operational requirements, without predefined specifications Proactively identify inefficiencies, technical debt, and opportunities for automation within existing or new PowerOn processes Work directly with business users and operational teams to capture, clarify, and document requirements, translating them into technical PowerOn solutions Evaluate downstream impacts of PowerOn changes across Symitar subsystems, reports, interfaces, and integrations Recommend solution approaches, technical designs, and alternatives based on system capabilities and best practices Create, modify, and support OpCon jobs related to PowerOn executions, file transfers, batch processes, and operational workflows Troubleshoot scheduling failures, dependencies, and job sequencing issues across OpCon workflows Partner with operations and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable end‑to‑end automation Develop and support PowerOn solutions interacting with various Symitar modules including EMA, EAR, ELA, and other Symitar‑related applications Understand data structures, files, and workflows across Symitar to support reporting and automation needs Assist with Symitar upgrades, testing cycles, and post‑upgrade validation related to PowerOn and OpCon processes Provide advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for PowerOn‑related production issues Ensure PowerOn code adheres to internal standards, change control processes, and audit requirements Develop clear technical documentation and operational instructions for supported PowerOn solutions Adhere to all security, regulatory, and data‑handling requirements applicable to financial institutions Maintain confidentiality of member, employee, and organizational data at all times Support audit, risk, and compliance requests related to PowerOn logic, automation, and reporting Other Duties and Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned Key Traits for Success:  To successfully fulfill the critical aspects of this position, a person must consistently demonstrate the following competencies: Self‑starter who requires minimal direction Strong problem‑solver with attention to detail Comfortable making technical decisions and recommendations Able to balance development work with production support responsibilities Focused on long‑term maintainability, not just quick fixes   Qualifications  The qualifications necessary to perform this role include: 5+ years of hands‑on Symitar PowerOn/Application development experience, including complex and custom PowerOn solutions Demonstrated ability to work independently, owning PowerOn solutions from concept through production support Strong experience analyzing and refactoring existing PowerOn code Experience capturing user requirements and translating them into technical solutions Hands‑on experience creating and supporting OpCon jobs and workflows Strong understanding of Symitar Episys architecture, files, and reporting structures Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root‑cause analysis Work Environment: This position could be either on-site, remote, or hybrid.
