About the role: We're looking for a senior Full Stack Engineer who thrives on owning and building out multiple surfaces that connect to each other in seamless ways. You will be the backend backbone on the small Front End Engineering Team that owns all customer touchpoints (from Ad campaigns to product renewal) as the first Full Stack hire. Our ideal candidate has experience building services and platforms that support large enterprises in fast-moving and complex industries. In this role, you'll own the API layers, services, security, and infrastructure that power our Go-to-Market efforts, documentation platform, and marketing website stack (Webflow, Customer.io, Salesforce, and more). Your primary mission is to accelerate our teams by building and maintaining the services they depend on—ensuring reliability, performance, and a great end-user experience.  What we’re looking for: 5+ years experience shipping Enterprise level systems and web applications for B2B companies 1+ years experience developing successful Agentic workflows and tooling to enhance code quality and efficiency Familiarity with Python, Node.js, Go, or similar. Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc), databases (SQL/noSQL), and git workflows. You will also own the backend services and third-party integrations that power our marketing website, including CDN distribution, webhook layers, and API connections. Own the backend that powers Modular.com: Build and maintain the APIs, services, and data layers that power our marketing website. Integrate feedback from internal customers along the way, using whatever tools are required for the job — innovate new integrations, maintain distributions, and connect third-party services. Own the documentation infrastructure: Be the go-to backend/infrastructure owner for our documentation platform — maintaining uptime, shipping new services using AWS, Vercel, Docusaurus, and Node.js, building unified auth and tools integration with our cloud console, and ensuring a smooth workflow for the docs team. Build systems that scale: Design new systems and abstractions that improve developer productivity, reliability, and performance by handling entire classes of problems up-front. Scope, architect, and lead technical projects to improve on existing features and solve new problems. Frontend awareness: Support frontend engineers and designers to build and maintain high-fidelity, user-facing experiences, services, APIs, and systems. Proficiency in Javascript/TypeScript for fullstack implementations and knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, React. The salary for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of permissible, non-discriminatory job-related factors, which include but are not limited to education, training, work experience, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future. The total compensation for a candidate will also include annual target bonus, equity, and benefits, with equity making up a significant portion of your total compensation.
