Job Description: We are seeking experienced COBOL Developers to support a modernization initiative within mainframe print solution. This role will focus on enhancing and consolidating legacy print processing components, including copybooks and CTG programs, and integrating with open systems. The ideal candidate will have strong COBOL and CICS experience, a deep understanding of mainframe environments, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

Analyze and document existing print-related COBOL copybooks and CTG programs.


Design and implement a cohesive structure to reduce copybook complexity.


Develop and unit test CICS and batch COBOL programs.


Collaborate with open systems teams to define handoff points, data formatting, and return codes.


Support the creation of test suites and test applications for new tooling.


Assist in the installation and validation of new/updated copybooks across development, clone, and production environments.


Participate in the migration planning and execution for application teams.
