      Description
      hc1 Insights is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and install software solutions. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. In this role, you will design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications/operating systems. Participate in testing through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and software certification.You need to work independently with little supervision. Have the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery, and have excellent software engineering skills. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.What you'll do:Full-stack developmentDesign, implement, and unit test new applications, features and functionality based on business requirementsWill support integrations using Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, etc. Participate in code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of Agile methodologies to ensure high quality softwareTroubleshoot and fix software application problemsParticipate in software process quality effortsComplete other duties as assigned
        Requirements
        What you bring:A four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field5+ years experience with software design and development5+ years professional experience doing Java and React developmentExperience developing modern web user interfacesExperience with enterprise integration patterns (experience with Rhapsody, Cloverleaf or Iguana a plus)Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skillsProfessional skills in working with various relational database systemsAbility to work both independently and in small team environmentsOur tech stack:Programming languages: Java, SQL, GWT Google Web ToolkitAmazon Web Services (AWS): EC2, SQS, ActiveMQ, S3, LambdaEclipse (plugin development)Apache Tomcat and Service MixDatabases: MySQLContinuous integration tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Travis CI, Artifactory, JIRA)Agile principles (Scrum): scrum master facilitated ceremonies: planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, demo and retro
