The Role: UI Engineering at Compa is the connective layer between product intent and user experience; where decisions around structure, interaction, and maintainability all converge. You’ll help translate ideas into elegant, functional interfaces; shaping not just how things look, but how they work and evolve. You’ll be joining an existing lead UIE to scale Compa’s UI infra and products. Software engineers at Compa have a high degree of ownership and autonomy to build the systems powering the future of enterprise compensation at a global scale. Compa has a wide breadth of projects that will continue to expand as we grow. A few examples of projects are: finding new ways to bring its unique data to HR teams, leveraging Artificial Intelligence to unlock new insights and predictions related to the labor market, building tools to scale our internal operations, ensuring engineering excellence throughout our stack, and maintaining our enterprise grade security posture. You will join Compa’s world-class, in-house engineering team and partner with Compa’s co-founders to build and scale the company, it’s systems, and products. You have a high-level of trust and autonomy to build our core systems and influence the product roadmap. About you As our next UIE, you should have 5+ years of experience shipping beautiful products — you care about your craft Want to make help figure out how to make compensation more transparent, fair, and equitable Proven track record of shipping products Pragmatic instincts - you think first about the interaction of systems and people rather than the latest technical fad Comfortable executing in high ambiguous and constantly changing situations Have a bias for action - transform ambiguity and uncertainty into concrete next steps Able to overcome obstacles to ship - done is better than perfect!
