Tech Lead, Engineering for Trader Interactive LLC to report to our HQ loc in Virginia Beach, VA and may work remotely. Delegate tasks, provide practical + project-specific guidance, + monitor performance of jr software engineers to ensure successful completion of projects. Oversee entire software development lifecycle from analyzing needs to designing, testing, + developing software to meet business needs. Provide strong tech direction by establishing vision, resolving disagreements, + managing tech quality of team deliverables. Ensure use of appropriate engineering practices, such as CD + automated testing. Document processes + procedures through use of diagrams + flowcharts. Detect + remove hardware limitations that could impact software design. Resolve issues w/ system quality + identify common patterns. Update existing codebases + peer review code changes. Develop computer instructions through use of algorithms. Implement new + improved tech designs + technologies. May undergo background checks. Employees must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Must have Masters in Comp Sci, Comp Eng’ring, rel Eng’ring or other rel field, 4 yrs rel exp in software engineering, and required skills (4 years experience). In the alternate, must have Bach in Comp Sci, Comp Eng’ring, rel Eng’ring or other rel field, 5 yrs rel exp in software engineering, and required skills (5 years experience). Required skills: working through entire software development lifecycle; PHP, JavaScript, .NET, or Python; working within hardware, systems, and coding; troubleshooting software issues and debugging large databases; and relaying insights to inform business decisions.
