This is a hands-on, individual contributor role; you'll write and ship code regularly and serve as a key technical leader on your team. Staff Engineers at Travefy lead by example. You’ll tackle some of our hardest technical challenges, drive architectural improvements, and guide strategic initiatives that impact multiple squads. You’ll work closely with Engineering Leads, Product Managers, and Designers to ensure solutions are scalable, sustainable, and user-centric. If you’re a deeply technical engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, mentoring others, and delivering features that make a difference—you’ll feel right at home here. Write, review, and ship high-quality code across the full stack for user-facing features and platform enhancements. Take ownership of complex, high-impact initiatives and guide them from idea to deployment. Set the standard for engineering excellence through thoughtful architecture, rigorous testing, and detailed documentation. Technical Leadership & Mentorship You’ll guide architectural decisions and grow the team through expertise, feedback, and technical support. Provide technical direction within your squad, contributing to system design, architectural reviews, and strategic planning. Mentor and support engineers across teams through pairing, design guidance, and code reviews. Champion engineering best practices and help evolve internal tooling and infrastructure. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Impact You’ll partner across disciplines to align priorities, reduce complexity, and deliver outcomes that matter. Partner closely with Product and Design to align technical solutions with user and business goals. Serve as a go-to expert for debugging, performance optimization, and scaling challenges. Help drive adoption of new tools and technologies across the engineering organization. Influence & Evangelism You’ll shape how we build—driving improvements that raise quality, efficiency, and consistency across teams. Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and engineering excellence. Actively participate in shaping engineering process, architecture, and platform direction beyond your immediate squad. Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional partners to achieve product outcomes. Experience mentoring senior engineers and elevating team-wide technical capabilities. Excellent communication skills—comfortable tailoring technical ideas to diverse audiences. 10+ years of experience building scalable, distributed systems and full-stack applications.
