The mobile marketplace provides customers with access to discounted food nearing its best-by date and salvaging food that can be used to help feed those in need or those who are unable to afford fresh and healthy food. The app allows users to browse through available deals at participating stores near them. Customers can then purchase items directly in the app and pick up orders from the Flashfood zone in their participating store.The company has numerous partners across Canada and the United States, and has saved shoppers millions on their grocery bills, as well as removing gargantuan amounts of product from the waste cycle.
