Job Description: Remote in the USWe are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer with a passion for native iOS development to join our mobile development team and help us continue to grow and expand our successful Truepic Vision suite of enterprise software products and conduct explorations within a wide variety of research-based projects related to security, performance, user experience, and computer vision.The Truepic Vision suite of applications is leveraged by a growing and diverse array of enterprise clients and this role will have a high impact on our company top and bottom line from your very first day.You won’t just be building another camera or photo app, you’ll be creating software that defends trust in digital media. Truepic’s technology plays a pivotal role in combating visual misinformation, enabling image authenticity, and supporting causes from historical material documentation to insurance fraud prevention. As a senior engineer, your work directly contributes to societal trust and combatting fraud.Responsibilities: This role will primarily be focused on:Building and contributing new features and business logic to the native iOS Truepic Vision application and a variety of research-based projects and explorationsIntegrating with the Truepic backend API’s and third-party API'sProviding technical direction and evaluation of project requirementsSupporting the development of automated integration and unit testsQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceStrong proficiency in iOS development using Objective-C, Swift, and C/C++ with a deep understanding of the iOS SDK and frameworksExperience with low-level iOS development, including CoreFoundation, Core Graphics, Core Animation, and other lower-level frameworksSolid understanding of memory management concepts in iOS, including Automatic Reference Counting (ARC) and managing retain cyclesProficiency in using Xcode and Interface Builder for UI development, as well as knowledge of programmatic UI creationFamiliarity with iOS application lifecycle and experience in optimizing app performance, memory usage, and responsivenessKnowledge of multithreading and concurrency concepts in iOS, including experience with Grand Central Dispatch (GCD) and operation queuesStrong understanding of data persistence and database technologies in iOS, such as Core Data or SQLiteExperience with networking and data retrieval in iOS, including RESTful APIs, JSON/XML parsing, and handling asynchronous operationsExperience with automated testing and the development of unit testsFamiliarity with debugging and profiling tools for iOS, such as Instruments and Xcode's debugging capabilitiesKnowledge of app distribution process, including provisioning profiles, code signing, Swift Package Manager (SPM), and App Store submission guidelinesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues in iOS applicationsExperience with version control systems such as GitHub and familiarity with collaborative development workflows and CI/CD processesStrong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fully remote team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersContinuous learning mindset, staying up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and advancements in iOS developmentQualifications (nice to have):Experience building native mobile SDKs that will be integrated into third-party applications.Experience with Shape Up development methodologyKnowledge of cryptography, PKI, certificates, and secure data handlingExperience working on security or privacy-sensitive applicationsOpen source contributionsPublished apps on the App StoreWho we are:In a world where AI-generated content and digital fraud are on the rise, verifying what is real is a challenge faced by every organization.
