The role will report directly to the VP, IT Data, Analytics, & Innovations.  The Sr. Director, AI & Innovations will be based in the US and may work from a remote office. Position Summary The Sr. Director, AI & Innovations will collaborate on the strategic vision, development, and execution of enterprise-wide AI and emerging technology initiatives. This role will help establish and scale a Center of Excellence (COE) focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and digital innovation. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep technical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for driving transformative change through technology. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Execute the AI & Innovation COE strategy aligned with enterprise goals. Product manage existing innovation landscape and develop roadmaps for each on the current applications. Partner with executive & sales leadership to identify high-impact opportunities for AI and emerging technologies. Champion a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning. Evaluate, pilot, and scale emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI, NLP, computer vision, edge AI, quantum computing). Lead cross-functional innovation initiatives and proof-of-concept projects. Stay ahead of industry trends and assess their relevance to the organization. Oversee the development and deployment of AI/ML models and platforms. Ensure responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, and governance. Collaborate with data science, engineering, sales, product, and delivery teams to deliver scalable solutions. Build and lead a high-performing team of AI researchers, engineers, and innovation strategists. Establish best practices, frameworks, and reusable assets for AI development. Define KPIs and success metrics to measure impact and ROI of innovation initiatives. Serve as a trusted advisor to business units on AI and innovation opportunities. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Foster partnerships with academia, startups, and technology vendors. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). 15+ years of experience in IT, with 8+ years in AI/ML leadership roles. Proven track record of leading enterprise AI initiatives and innovation programs. Desired Skills Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks, data platforms, and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with MLOps, model lifecycle management, and AI governance. Deep experience with GenAI, LLMs, and prompt engineering. Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization. Strong business acumen and ability to link technology to business outcomes. Experience with pre-sales activities including demoing solutions, responding to RFPs, and technical capability workshops. Domain knowledge in professional services industry a plus.
