Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Data Engineer!
 
About the Role
Symetra is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Management team. In this role, you’ll Architect and develop modern cloud-based solutions for the enterprise data warehouse, data marts, and data platforms. Lead in the delivery of significant projects, guiding and mentoring other data engineers to deliver modern cloud ETL/BI solutions.
 
What you will do 

Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
Working knowledge of modern data architectures and trends such as Data Mesh, Data Lakehouse, etc.
Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving exciting and complex development and integration problems.
Create and maintain automated methods of orchestrating data flows and products while monitoring data quality and the status of related infrastructure.
Implement additional project components (API interfaces) for accessibility.
Implement secure cloud data solutions which align to privacy and security controls.
Enable and support data and analytics capabilities and technologies, ensuring functional specifications meet or exceed established business and functional requirements, technical standards, quality.

Compensation
Salary Range: $113,700 – $189,400 plus eligibility for annual bonus programs
