You’ll own high-impact analyses, run root-cause analyses, partner cross-functionally, and build scalable data solutions that empower teams across Mode’s business units.Who You Are and What You’ll DoDesign, build, and maintain common datasets and data pipelines that strengthen self-service analytics and enable data-driven decision making across the organizationConduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, behavioral patterns, operational inefficiencies, key revenue drivers, and proactively surface insights that influence strategic decisionsInvestigate anomalies and run root-cause analyses to proactively surface insights that influence product, growth, content, and operationsImprove data quality, accuracy, reliability, and documentation to strengthen self-service analyticsCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into well-scoped analytical projectsWork closely with product managers, GMs, engineering, content, and growth to support decision-makingCommunicate analytical findings through clear, compelling narratives to drive alignment, inform prioritization, and deliver measurable business impactWhat You Bring to the Team10+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity, ideally within tech, mobile, media, or fintech.Proven track record leading deals from sourcing through integration.Strong financial acumen and modeling skills; comfort with valuation, ROI analysis, and deal structuring.Deep understanding of product, operational, and cultural integration dynamics.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Experience operating in high-growth, fast-paced, global organizations.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree strongly preferred.What You Bring to the TeamAnalytical excellence to dissect complex, ambiguous problems and uncover actionable insightsSolid SQL and Python programming skills, and experience working with large-scale production dataBusiness acumen to translate data and analysis into business impactExceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate in a highly cross-functional environmentNice to have:Experience with Big Data tools (Redshift/Spark/Airflow), dashboarding tools (Looker, Tableau), experiment design, predictive modeling, log analysis, AI, or experience in tech or startup environmentsAlignment with our core values:
