Job Description: Software EngineerAstor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a Software Engineer. This is a full-time position, and is 100% remote. Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems, architecting scalable solutions on AWS, and ensuring secure, high-performing applications.Develop and maintain APIs using Django Rest Framework (DRF) and Python. Work with MySQL databases for data modeling and optimization.Java and .NET core programmingDesign and implement scalable architectures leveraging AWS servicesUtilize Splunk, SolarWinds, and Google Analytics for system monitoring and performance analysisConduct vulnerability scanning using tools such as Trivy, AWS ECR image scanning, and SonarQube.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CDOversee application release cycles from requirements gathering to production deploymentAdditional duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field 5+ years of experience as a full stack software engineer  Experience developing in Django-Rest-Framework (DRF) and PythonMySQL knowledgeJava programming experience, .NET Core experience is preferred Experience working with front-end frameworks (React highly preferred)Cloud experience, specifically supporting AWS componentsSystem monitoring experience Experience using vulnerability scanning tools such as Trivy, AWS ECR, or SonarQubeKnowledge of Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CDExisting Public Trust, or previously DOL experience is preferredBenefitsAstor & Sanders Corporation (www.astor-sanders.com) offers a unique, stimulating and challenging environment that fosters individual growth and rewards performance.
