The Role: Monarch is seeking a Software Engineer with a focus in internal tools and AI to join our Platform team during a period of rapid growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Software Infrastructure, you will design, build, and scale the internal tools that power both our engineering organization and greater business teams. This role is at the intersection of AI, automation, and developer experience and your work will directly shape how every engineer at Monarch builds, ships, and operates software. You will support high-impact projects like enhancing our internal CLI, building AI-assisted developer tools, and integrating automation across our platform. What Youโ€™ll Do: Design, develop, and maintain internal tools such as our internal CLI, GitHub Actions, and Slack bots to streamline engineering workflows. Evaluate, prototype, and integrate AI-powered developer tools that improve productivity, code quality, and operational efficiency. Build and enhance internal APIs to support cross-team automation, integrations, and developer platform capabilities. Monitor, iterate, and improve tools post-deployment to ensure performance, usability, and adoption across the organization.
