You will help empower our engineering organization to deliver product features to our customers rapidly, with high scalability, excellent resilience, and cost-effectiveness. Our infrastructure team operates remotely in the United States (with teammates in each time zone!), but commits to visiting our San Francisco HQ once a quarter to work together in person.What you'll do at PersonaEmbrace and champion engineering best practices within the product engineering teamsWork closely with product teams to plan and build scalable, resilient and cost-effective infrastructure systems that meet launch goals, reach new markets and scale with product demandPartner with fellow engineering teams to deliver on complex initiatives togetherDevelop simple, elegant solutions to complex problemsYou will work in a solution stack that extends all the way from complex back-end data through web services to highly usable web-based user interfacesYou will be able to directly shape system design, development methodologies, and implementation technologiesWhat you'll bring to PersonaBA/BS in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience2+ years of work experience as an infrastructure engineer working with cloud-based infrastructure, online data stores and infrastructure-as-code pipelinesExperience in cloud-based infrastructure, familiarity with modern networking concepts and experience managing infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practicesExperience managing and scaling containerized software deployment systems such as KubernetesExperience in Software development in one or more of the general-purpose programming languages: Ruby, Go, Python, Java, etcExperience in working in high-energy small startup environmentsKnowledge of and expertise in software engineering best practices for software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsAbility to communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and managementStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a fully remote infrastructure engineering team environmentFull-time Employee Benefits and PerksFor full-time employees (excluding internship and contractor opportunities), Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, 3% 401(k) contribution, unlimited PTO, quarterly mental health days, family planning benefits, professional development stipend, wellness benefits, among others.
