The Software Development Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned development team members as well as the work that is assigned to the team(s).  This position works closely with other Leaders to ensure that the teams are meeting set corporate goals and objectives. 

Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include:  

 

Exceptional at all duties & mentors all employees at and below the level Group Lead. 
Manages one or more development teams with 5 to 15 team members and is ultimately accountable for the day-to-day activities of each team member. 
May manage one or more platforms. 
Strong tactical decision-maker. 
Manages critical projects that are strategic to our mission. 
Assumes role of Scrum Master for one or more development teams as needed. 
Mentors and leads the team on software development best practices. 
Versed in various roles and responsibilities in their platform lifecycle. 
Demonstrates skills with project management tools and methodologies with an ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. 
Participate in development/refinement of division policies, procedures, and education/training materials. 
Works closely with division and executive leadership. 
Takes on a leadership role among peer management. 
Minimum Requirements: 

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a combination of relevant education and equivalent experience.
At least 10+ years full stack software development experience with C#, Javascript and/or React, SQL
Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices in an Agile environment
Significant experience designing and delivering applications within cloud based environments. Preferably Azure.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
Proven ability to manage change.
Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
Excellent team building and employee relationship skills.
5+ years of management experience.
Healthcare or Financial Services experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: 

2-4 years of application development experience with TruBridge. 
3-5 years of staff management experience. 
Microsoft Certifications, Scrum Master Certifications, Secure Development Practices
